The mission of The Drawing Studio is to cultivate the skills of visual intelligence are cultivated by people
at any age and walks of life through art studio practice. We view the practice of art as a life-long exploration that includes continuous learning from each other.
In service to our mission, we offer the following:
1. regular sessions to practice drawing from observation, and to pursue the related skills of composition and technique;
2. a curriculum and resource library serving beginning through advanced students and teachers;
3. opportunities for fellowship, research and professional support through exhibitions, special projects, seminars, workshops and travel;
4. public outreach supporting the practice of art among underserved populations through teaching and other activities tailored to individual learning needs

Located in Tucson, AZ, The Drawing Studio is a non-profit 501C3 offering a wide range of youth, teen and adult studio art classes and workshops at all skill levels. We also offer open studio sessions for drawing practice, exhibitions in our TDS Gallery and other venues, an Associates program for fellowship and support, an intensive summer program and a weekend school-year program for youth 9-12 and teens 13-18, and outreach tutoring for seniors who are low income and/or placebound.

Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, Gallery hours are Noon to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday,
and the studio is open for classes,workshops, open studios and special events at other times throughout the week.
